Passengers flying with IndiGo from Guwahati will now depart from and arrive at Terminal 2 (T2) of Lokapriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport (LGBI), following the airline's latest operational update. The new arrangement came into effect on July 20, 2026, marking a significant change for travelers using one of Northeast India's busiest airports.

According to IndiGo, all flights operating to and from Guwahati will now be handled exclusively from Terminal 2. The move is aimed at streamlining airport operations and enhancing the overall travel experience for passengers.

The airline noted that Terminal 2 is located within 4 kilometres of the existing terminal, making it easily accessible by road. However, passengers are advised to plan their journey to the airport in advance and allow additional travel time, especially during the initial transition period, to avoid missing their flights.

To ensure a smooth shift to the new terminal, IndiGo has confirmed that its airport staff and support teams will be available to assist passengers with directions, check-in procedures, baggage handling, and other travel-related queries.

The transition is expected to improve passenger flow and operational efficiency as Guwahati Airport continues to expand its infrastructure to accommodate growing air traffic. Travelers are encouraged to check their flight details and departure terminal before leaving for the airport to avoid any inconvenience.

With Guwahati serving as a major aviation gateway to Northeast India, the relocation of IndiGo's operations to Terminal 2 represents another step toward modernizing airport services and improving passenger convenience.
